On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum asked once again if there was anyone in the audience who wished to address <br />the board of equalization, and no one came forward. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the Cass County Board <br />of Equalization recess until July 6, 2004. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. DEPARTMENT HEAD RECOMMENDATION, Cost of livina adjustment for budaetina <br />Mr. Klein and the County Treasurer, Charlotte Sandvik, presented a recommendation from <br />department heads for a 2 %% increase in the county salary schedule as a cost of living <br />adjustment, based upon economic data on inflation and salary trends they have reviewed. <br />Mr. Klein said the proposed 2 %% increase is being requested for budgeting purposes. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that county department <br />heads use a 2 %% increase to the salary scale for budgeting purposes. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. VECTORIWEED FACILITY PLANNING, Contract with T.L. Stroh <br />Mrs. Johnson gave a report on meetings of the vector/weed facility planning committee and <br />indicated they were in agreement to hire an architect to provide planning services, in an <br />amount not to exceed $5,000, for up to four options and cost estimates for chemical storage <br />and space for operations and personnel. Mr. Stroh was present to answer any questions <br />from the board. Mr. Meyer asked if the plans will include both vector and weed control, and <br />the response was the options will cover various scenarios. <br />
