Commission Minutes--June 7, 2004 2731 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 7, 2004 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of a contract with Clay County, Minnesota, for a shared Cass 20 Red River bridge project. Motion carried. 5. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Four Corners Wildlife MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle permit for the Four Corners Wildlife Club on November 22, 2004, at the Embden Center in Embden, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. PERSONNEL POLICY 7.40, Ratify Personnel Overview Committee action MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to ratify the Personnel Overview Committee action of May 17, 2004, and amend the Personnel Policy Manual 7.40, Hours of Work, to require a minimum 30-minute uninterrupted break for shifts exceeding 5 hours of work. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Wells Farao Home Mortaaae MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 8. TOWNSHIP ROAD MILEAGE CERTIFICATION, Chair authorized to sian MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to sign the township road mileage certification report prepared by the county auditor's office and to be sent to the State Treasurer. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
