S. <br />jFish & Wildlife <br />jland acq. prog. <br />I <br />Mr. Irvin Rustad from the Lake Agas~iz Regional Council and Mr. Nordan Lunde from !Maps being made <br />the Soil Conservation Service appeareo to explain their project which involves mapping jof the soil <br />the soil conditions in Cass County. Mr. Rustad stated that there is an estimate of $5,000.00 !conditions in <br />for 5 interpretive maps and for developing the report, and he suggested that the County iCass County <br />,consider setting aside some money in the new budget to purchase maps which they feel i <br />would be important to have. Elec. <br />iauth. to bury <br />'cable under C16 <br />!in Stanley Twp. <br />land under C17 <br />:in Reed Twp. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JUNE 6, 1978 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br />An Invocation was given by Chairman Wold. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />ibe approved as written. Motion carried. <br />I. <br /> <br />The Boarq convened as the County Board of Tax Equalization for 1978. Clarence Miller, <br />iCounty Director of Tax Equalization, stated that this is not a regular real estate <br />'assessment year, but he feels that perhaps the Counties will have to consider an annual <br />iassessment in the next three years in order to bring market values to a realistic figure <br />and then adopt some type of uniform percentage for all properties to accomplish <br />'better equalization throughout the County~ <br /> <br />Notice of Real Estate Assessments were sent to the Cass Rural Water Users, Inc. <br />:forparcels of land in Everest Township, Eldred Township, Pontiac Township, <br />'Walburg Township and Maple River Township; and they are agreeable to the valuations <br />,as established. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the County Board <br />'of Equalization approve Mr. Miller's recommendations above on the real estate assessments <br />for Cass Rural Water Users, Inc. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller also stated that Notice of Missed Real Estate Assessments were sent to <br />'the Goshen Moravian Church in Durbin Township and to Mr. ~illiam Schlichting in the <br />City of Davenport, and each were notified of the added assessment but they did not appear <br />'before the County Board of Tax Equalization. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded <br />that Mr. Miller's recommendations on the two parcels above be approved. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson read a letter from Homer Englehorn of the Garrison Diversion <br />iconservancy District concerning the United States Fish and Wildlife land acquisition <br />iprogram in North Dakota. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the County Board of Equalization <br />be adjourned for 1978 since no one appeared to protest. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconqed that the Regular Meeting of June 6th <br />be adjourned. Motion carried. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JUNE 7, 1978 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman be authorized to <br />sign the permit with Cass County Electric to bury cable under County Road 16 in <br />Section 36, Stanley Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized <br />to sign the permit with Cass County Electric to bury cable under County Road 17 in <br />Reed Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the permit with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to bury cable under County Road 15 <br />by Kindred. Motion carried. <br /> <br />A letter was received from KFNW Radio Station concerning the condition of County Road 6 <br />past their studio.
