Motion carried. <br />! <br />I Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the letter of resignation from <br />Mr. Griffeth be referred to Walt Ness, County Extension Agent, and placed on the agenda <br />~or next week. A letter was received from the Fargo Public School System asking if the County <br />Public School ~ould be interested in renting office space in the Emerson Smith Building on <br />System re: office~lth Street and 2nd Avenue South. <br />,space at Emerson I <br />Smith <br />i <br />Co. Aud. suggests!. Concerning the problem of lack of office space which the County has, the County Auditor <br />bldg. to south ~uggested a two-story building perhaps to the south of the present Courthouse, and the <br />of present Cthse'fommissioners directed him to determine an approximate square footage. <br /> <br />Buffalo Rural I No one appeared to protest at the hearing scheduled for 11:00 A.M. for the annexation <br />Fire District pf property in the City of Buffalo to the Buffalo Rural Fire Protection District. <br />annexation apprvd~rs. Motion carried. <br />! <br />Agree. with i Upon the recommendation <br />Cass County Elec.!and Mr. Satrom seconded that <br />ICass County Electric to bury <br />i <br />Co. declared Fed.: Gordon-Sletmoe, Disaster Emergency Services Director, reported to the Board that the <br />Disaster Area & icounty has now been declared a Federal disaster area and there will be a meeting <br />meeting to be iin his offices at 1:00 P.M. on April 25th with Federal, State and County officials <br />held Apr. 25th i from Traill, Cass and Richland Counties. <br /> <br />I <br />Letter from City I Mrs. Wold read a letter from Harwood Mayor Milo Haugen and the City Council <br />of Harwood !extending their appreciation for assistance with flood control. <br />I <br />i Upon <br />i seconded <br />lof Drain <br />, <br /> <br />Report of Shff. I Don Rudnick from the County Sheriff's Department gave a report on the cost of <br />Dept. on County- ioperating the two vehicles purchased by the County last December and the cost of the <br />purchased vehicles deputies operating their own vehicles. <br />i <br />, <br /> <br />of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Hendrickson moved <br />the Chairman be authorized to sign the agreement with <br />cable by the Convent south of Fargo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />the request of Attorney Duane Breitling, Mr. Satrommoved and Mr. Sondrall <br />that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Quit Claim Deed for transfer <br />No. 40 right of way. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Frank Erdman <br />apptd. Co. Weed <br />Control Officer <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that Frank Erdman of Alice be <br />jappointed County Weed Control Officer. The motion carried with Mrs. Stanton opposing, <br />land she requested that a mileage report be filed by Mr. Erdman at the end of the summer. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />
