<br />Commission Minutes--ApriI19, 2004 2716 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 19, 2004 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meetings of April 5, 2004, and April 7, 2004, be approved as <br />written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following changes: 1) approve fireworks display permit <br />for Starr Fireworks; 2) authorize the chair to sign the Severe Summer <br />Weather Awareness Week proclamation; and 3) authorize the chair to <br />sign a purchase order for modular office space for Vector Control. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Approved for Todd and Brenda Gross <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that abatement #4250 for <br />Todd and Brenda Gross be reduced to $290,000, as recommended by the <br />Reed Township Board and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. ELECTION INSPECTORS, Approved for 2004 elections <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the 2004 <br />election inspectors, according to the list provided by the county auditor's <br />office. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Michael Pfennia Cancer Fund <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve raffle permit <br />for the Michael Pfennig Cancer Fund benefit to be held April 17, 2004, at <br />the Wild Rice Bar and Grill in Wild Rice, North Dakota. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />
