Commission Minutes-May 18, 2009 3514 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 18, 2009 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, and Robyn Sorum. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license issued by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010, as follows: Veteran's, Inc. at the Bronco Bar, Chaffee; Dokken & Schroeder Post 223 at Erie Legion Hall, Erie; Red River Human Services Foundation at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill, Wild Rice; The Arc, Upper Valley, Inc. at the Club 94, Casselton; and Christine Volunteer Firefighters, Inc. at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker, Hickson. b. Amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards and appoint Mike Zimney to fill a vacancy on the Cass County Planning Commission as a representative from the City of Fargo; and appoint James Pralle to fill a vacancy on the Southeast Human Services Board. c. Receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Mary Poirier, Tim Runcorn and Amy Qvammen; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. d. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended April 30, 2009. e. Discontinue spring load restrictions for Cass County highways on May 26, 2009. f. Contract approval - Mosquito control agreements for 2009-City of Amenia; Butch-R- Block Subdivision.
