APPENDIX A <br />PAGE 3 OF 3 <br />AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION <br />IN THE NORTH DAKOTA <br />HIGHWAY SAFETY PLAN <br />PROJECT NO. PHSP4020905 SP OS Ph 08 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Other Requirements <br />The Agency must have a seat belt policy in place before requesting reimbursement for this <br />activity. Traffic Safety Office program managers will locate and review the policy during <br />scheduled on-site monitoring visits, if applicable. Absence of a policy may result in the Traffic <br />Safety Office withholding payment until a policy is put into place. All personnel receiving <br />reimbursement through federal funds associated with this contract are required to wear seat belts <br />and obey all traffic laws while on official business of the project. <br />The Agency is encouraged to follow the guidelines for vehicular pursuits issued by the <br />International Association of Chiefs of Police that are currently in effect. <br />Funding for this project is provided through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration <br />(NHTSA) under the authority of 23 U.S.C. 402. <br />The Traffic Safety Office reserves the right to disapprove payment of any expense exceeding the <br />line item budget as detailed below. To avoid this, the Agency must submit a written request to, <br />and receive approval from, the Traffic Safety Office to move funds between line items in <br />advance of any anticipated over-expense. <br />BUDGET <br />DIRECT COSTS: <br />Overtime Wages $6,500 <br />PROJECT TOTAL: $6,500 <br />Participation: <br />Federal 100% $6,500 <br />State - - <br />Local - To be reported <br />Local Benefit 100% $6,500 <br />
