The attached calendar sets the <br />important dates that we need to be mindful of as we work through preparing the <br />2010 budget. <br />Budgets are never easy, there are always more needs than we can afford and this <br />year will be even more of a challenge with the county's economic growth slowing <br />down. Over the past five years we have averaged 7% growth in taxable valuation, <br />that growth will probably be down to about 2% to 2.5% this year. The projection for <br />this year is preliminary and could be further reduced by adjustments for flooded <br />properties. <br />Sincerely, <br />..
