Commission Minutes-April 20, 2009 3503 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 20, 2009 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo was present via conference call. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Michael Montplaisir led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve minutes of the last regular meeting held April 6, 2009, and minutes of the special meetings held March 27, 2009, and April 1, 2009, as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the additions of a calendar raffle permit, site authorization permit, gravel bids and contract amendments from the North Dakota Department of Transportation. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Authorize the chair to sign the proxy vote for the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund annual meeting to be held May 21, 2009, at the Ramkota Inn, Bismarck, North Dakota, and assign Cass County's votes to Ron Krebsbach. b. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended March 31, 2009. c. Authorize the chair to sign Resolution #2009-9, approving a proclamation for National Foster Care Month, May 2009, as follows: RESOLUTION #2009-9 NATIONAL FOSTER CARE MONTH WHEREAS, the family, serving as the primary source of love, identity, self-esteem and support, is the very foundation of our communities and our State, and WHEREAS, in Cass County there are approximately 226 children and youth in foster care being provided with a safe, secure and stable home along with the compassion and nurture of a foster family, and
