Commission Minutes-April 20, 2009 3503 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 20, 2009 <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo <br />was present via conference call. <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Michael Montplaisir led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve minutes of the <br />last regular meeting held April 6, 2009, and minutes of the special <br />meetings held March 27, 2009, and April 1, 2009, as written. Motion <br />carried. <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the additions of a calendar raffle permit, site authorization <br />permit, gravel bids and contract amendments from the North Dakota <br />Department of Transportation. Motion carried. <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />a. Authorize the chair to sign the proxy vote for the North Dakota <br />Insurance Reserve Fund annual meeting to be held May 21, 2009, at <br />the Ramkota Inn, Bismarck, North Dakota, and assign Cass County's <br />votes to Ron Krebsbach. <br />b. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the <br />month ended March 31, 2009. <br />c. Authorize the chair to sign Resolution #2009-9, approving a <br />proclamation for National Foster Care Month, May 2009, as follows: <br />RESOLUTION #2009-9 <br />NATIONAL FOSTER CARE MONTH <br />WHEREAS, the family, serving as the primary source of love, identity, self-esteem and <br />support, is the very foundation of our communities and our State, and <br />WHEREAS, in Cass County there are approximately 226 children and youth in foster <br />care being provided with a safe, secure and stable home along with the compassion <br />and nurture of a foster family, and <br />
