<br />Commission Minutes-January 20,2009 3463 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 20,2009 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Vern Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with additions of a resolution of condolence and annual leave <br />carry over request to the consent agenda; addition of Transportation <br />Enhancement Fund project list to the regular agenda; and move item j. <br />regarding personnel subcommittee members from the consent to regular <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve a raffle and bingo permit for Four Corners Wildlife Club to be <br />held January 31, 2009, at the Embden Senior Citizen Center in <br />Embden, North Dakota. <br />b. Approve a raffle permit for Cass County Wildlife Club to be held January <br />24, 2009, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North <br />Dakota. <br />c. Adopt Resolution #2009-1 pertaining to the extension of personal <br />property taxes to real property owned by tax debtors, David B. and <br />Lauretta M. Bedford d/b/a Valley Kitchen. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2009-1 <br />CERTIFYING AS A LIEN AGAINST REAL ESTATE PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The North Dakota State Legislature, in Chapter 57-22 of the North Dakota <br />Century Code, has a process by which counties can, by resolution, create <br />a specific lien on particular descriptions of real property owned by the tax <br />debtor of personal property taxes, and; <br />
