Commission Minutes-November 3, 2008 3434 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 3, 2008 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Ken Pawluk. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of Social Services contracts and approval of a grant amendment. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Authorize the chairman and county auditor to sign quit claim deeds and an assignment of easement from Cass County for county-owned right- of-way in Drain 10. b. Receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Jean Paul Bigirimana; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue a duplicate check. c. Amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, and appoint Debra Boyer to fill a vacancy on the Southeast Human Services Board. d. Authorize the chairman and county auditor to sign a quit claim deed for tax-forfeited property in the City of Mapleton redeemed by the former owner. e. Contract approval Cities of Casselton, Mapleton, Horace and Kindred-renewal of police service agreements for 2009; Cass County Electric-tower lease agreement for tower structure located in Kindred, North Dakota, as part of the Public Safety Interoperability Communication System; Steven Mottinger, Douglas Nesheim, Ottmar & Ottmar-public defender contracts for 2009;
