<br />Commission Minutes-October 6, 2008 3428 <br /> <br />9. SPACE CONSULTANT VISIT; COURTHOUSE THIRD FLOOR UPDATE; BUILDING AND <br />GROUNDS REPORT; ANNEX PLUMBING PROJECT; NDACo CONVENTION; <br />ELECTION UPDATE, Committee reports <br />County Administrator Bonnie Johnson reminded the board that Consultant Dennis Kimme <br />will be in town on October 8th and October 9th to conduct follow-up interviews with <br />departments and commissioners regarding current and future space needs. The Building <br />Committee will also meet on Wednesday, October 8th at 4:00 PM. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson anticipates the order for modular furniture to fit-up the space on the <br />Courthouse third floor will be finalized this week. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the project to tuck point the Courthouse bell tower is about 50% <br />complete. The work necessary to repair the tower is more extensive than earlier <br />anticipated. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a section of cast iron pipe still needs to be replaced at the Cass County <br />Annex between the large conference room and the mechanical area. The project has been <br />scheduled for completion over the Veteran's Day holiday. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner said the annual North Dakota Association of Counties (NDACo) conference will <br />be held in Bismarck next week. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said his office has sent out approximately 4,700 absentee ballots for the <br />upcoming election. <br /> <br />10. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- Copy of letter from Commissioner Robyn Sorum to David Strand, Red River Valley <br />Fair Board President, regarding Mrs. Sorum's resignation from the Red River Valley <br />Fair Association's Executive Board; <br />- North Dakota Department of Transportation reminder about the Local Road <br />Coordinators' Conference being held in Rapid City, South Dakota on October 29 and <br />30, 2008, at the Ramkota Inn. <br /> <br />11.
