<br />Commission Minutes-October 6, 2008 3424 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OCTOBER 6, 2008 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Ken Pawluk. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of a contract with the State of North Dakota. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve omitted assessments according to notices sent to property <br />owners by the county auditor. <br />b. Amend Commission Policy Manual Section 14.09, County Fees; <br />Section 14.10, County Records; and Section 4.00, Advisory Boards and <br />appoint John Miller to fill a vacancy on the Fargo City Planning and <br />Zoning board from the extra-territorial jurisdiction. <br />c. Approve a special event permit for The Holiday Inn to serve alcoholic <br />beverages for a social event hosted by Cargill Oilseeds on September <br />24, 2008, from the hours of 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bonanzaville in West <br />Fargo, North Dakota; and approve a special event permit for The <br />Barnstormer Restaurant & Catering to serve alcoholic beverages for <br />"Project Hero" fundraiser on October 25, 2008, from the hours of 5:00 <br />PM to 8:00 PM at Bonanzaville in West Fargo, North Dakota. <br />d. Approve the 2008 Homeland Security Grant spending plans for Cass <br />County and direct the Cass County Emergency Manager to present the <br />grant application to the North Dakota Department of Emergency <br />Services. <br />e. Approve a raffle permit for the Chaffee Lions Club to be held December <br />4, 2008, at the Embden Farmer's Union Station in Embden, North <br />Dakota. <br />f. Approve the 2009-2010 Cass County Federal Aid Program and <br />authorize the chairman to sign the annotated 2009-2010 Federal Aid <br />Program sheet. <br />
