<br />Commission Minutes-September 2, 2008 3413 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Ken Pawluk. Darrell Vanyo was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of a Sheriff's Department grant award. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Establish an Early Voting Precinct at the Doublewood Inn, Woodland <br />South Room, located at 3333 13th Avenue South, Fargo, North Dakota, <br />on the dates of October 20th through October 23rd; October 2th through <br />October 30th; and November 3rd from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day. <br />b. Move to receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Gary <br />Erickson and Agassiz Title & Escrow; and authorize the county auditor <br />and county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. <br />c. Amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, and <br />appoint Clayton Brennan to fill a vacancy on the Cass County Weed <br />Control Board. <br />d. Approve the Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant (PSIC) <br />in the amount of $150,838.47 from the U.S. Department of <br />Commerce/Department of Homeland Security for upgrades to the <br />county's mobile data computer system. <br />e. Approve omitted assessments according to notices sent to property <br />owners by the county auditor. <br />f. Forward the jail commissary clerk position analysis questionnaire (PAQ) <br />to Fox Lawson for their review, based on the change in the commissary <br />program from a vendor-driven to employee-driven system. Any change <br />in the position would be incorporated into the 2009 budget. <br />g. Authorize the county to sponsor a recreation grant through the Garrison <br />Diversion Conservancy District for improvements to electrical sites at <br />
