2. Courthouse third floor re-use recommendations

Building Committee-August 20, 2008 4 MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Montplaisir seconded to accept the Courthouse third floor re-use plan to relocate the Veterans Service and State's Attorney Offices as provided by Kimme & Associates. Discussion: Mrs. Johnson asked if the motion includes accepting the designation of a file storage room for the Clerk of Court. Mr. Burdick does not object to the Clerk of Court using the space designated for their office, since the plan only involves a three-year time frame. Motion carried. MOTION, passed Judge Herman moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to accept the layout plan from Christianson's Business Furniture for installation of LifeSPACE moveable wall system and workstations for the interim use of the Courthouse third floor space. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wagner said the committee's recommendations will be forwarded to the county commission for consideration. Mr. Wagner asked Mr. Montplaisir to review potential revenue sources to pay for fit-up costs. Mr. Montplaisir said electrical costs and additional furniture expenses also need to be considered. Mr. Hoganson said Mr. Kimme currently is working on space projections and will integrate information from the space storage surveys discussed today. He anticipates a preliminary document will be available the beginning of September. 6. NEXT MEETING The next meeting will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 4:00 PM. 7.
