<br />Personnel Overview Committee--May 19, 2008 4 <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ and the existing PAQ were submitted for the Program <br />Administrator who works at the Jail. She said according to the new PAQ, duties of the <br />position have changed by 25%. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to forward the Program <br />Administrator position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-* <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ and the existing PAQ were submitted for the Commissary <br />Clerk at the Jail. She suggested the request be tabled until a decision has been made by <br />the county commission regarding how the commissary program will be handled in the future. <br />Currently, a vending company handles the jail commissary. The sheriff was in agreement to <br />table the item. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to table the reclassification <br />request for the Jail Commissary Clerk position. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ for the Jail Administrator position was not submitted and <br />suggested one be submitted for consideration. <br />MOTION, withdrawn <br />Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to request a new PAQ for the <br />Jail Administrator position be submitted by the end of the week. Discussion: <br />Sheriff Laney said his Intention was not to send the PAQ to Fox Lawson, but to <br />change the position from a lieutenant to a captain. Mrs. Johnson and Mr. <br />Bennett withdrew the motion. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson suggested the positions of Director of Finance, Technology and Strategic <br />Planning, Jail Administrator, Juvenile Detention Supervisor and Commissary Clerk be <br />reviewed by the Cass County Commission rather than this committee. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Montplalslr seconded to not send the Jail <br />Administrator position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to not send the Juvenile <br />Detention Supervisor position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Sheriff Laney said the three employees who currently serve as the Director of Finance, <br />Technology and Strategic Planning, the Jail Administrator and the Juvenile Detention <br />Supervisor, are fully aware they are in acting positions until January of next year. <br /> <br />5.
