Personnel Overview Committee--May 19, 2008 4 Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ and the existing PAQ were submitted for the Program Administrator who works at the Jail. She said according to the new PAQ, duties of the position have changed by 25%. MOTION, passed Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to forward the Program Administrator position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. -* Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ and the existing PAQ were submitted for the Commissary Clerk at the Jail. She suggested the request be tabled until a decision has been made by the county commission regarding how the commissary program will be handled in the future. Currently, a vending company handles the jail commissary. The sheriff was in agreement to table the item. MOTION, passed Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to table the reclassification request for the Jail Commissary Clerk position. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Johnson said a new PAQ for the Jail Administrator position was not submitted and suggested one be submitted for consideration. MOTION, withdrawn Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to request a new PAQ for the Jail Administrator position be submitted by the end of the week. Discussion: Sheriff Laney said his Intention was not to send the PAQ to Fox Lawson, but to change the position from a lieutenant to a captain. Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Bennett withdrew the motion. Mrs. Johnson suggested the positions of Director of Finance, Technology and Strategic Planning, Jail Administrator, Juvenile Detention Supervisor and Commissary Clerk be reviewed by the Cass County Commission rather than this committee. MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Montplalslr seconded to not send the Jail Administrator position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Johnson moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to not send the Juvenile Detention Supervisor position to Fox Lawson for review. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Sheriff Laney said the three employees who currently serve as the Director of Finance, Technology and Strategic Planning, the Jail Administrator and the Juvenile Detention Supervisor, are fully aware they are in acting positions until January of next year. 5. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mrs. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Wagner and all voting in favor, the meeting was adjourned at about 2:40 PM.
