Statement of Work

Statement of Work

Under this contract Sanborn will perform a comprehensive range of
photogrammetric mapping services including:

Data Acquisition

Sanborn will initiate the necessary resources for the collection of 1"=1500' color
photography for an area approximately 1767 square miles. Sanborn reserves the
right to support the County's aerial photography acquisition using digital sensors or
analog fflrn. Our plan for this project is to use a digital sensor with our newly
acquired Vexcel UltraCAM. The plan to use digital imageD- will be dependant upon
successful testing and final calibration that is currently in progress. Sanbom
anticipates this task to be completed prior to the optimum flying window for the
County's aerial acquisition. In either case, Sanborn's quality commitment to the
Count), remains the same.

Sanborn will provide all ground control and supplement the network by acquiring
airborne GPS data during the photography missions

Sanborn ~vill complete aerial triangulation of the photo set in a soft copy
environment using automatic analytical aerial triangulation procedures.

Production of DEM

Sanborn will produce a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) limited to the production
of Orthophotography only. Sanborn will produce a DEM to support the 1-foot
pkxel resolution orthophotography through a combination of autocorrelation and
manual stereocompilation techniques. The DEM is a deliverable for this project
and will be delivered in an ASCII formatted file.

Following the completion of project aerial triangulation phase, Sanborn will
produce orthoimagery for a prototype area (four-contiguous tiles) designated by the
Count3-.

Production of Digital Ortho Photography

Sanborn will also produce new color digital orthophoto image~ at 1.0-foot pLxel
resolution. Scanning the (original) aerial film negatives, incorporating the exterior
orientation of the AT solution, and rectifying it to the new DEM will create the
orthophotos. Sanborn will mosaic the imagery to produce a virtually seamless
image database. The f-mai orthophotos w/il meet NI~LSS accuracy standards at 1" =
200' and will be delivered in either Tiff with world header fries or GeoTiff format
and according to a tiling scheme agreed upon betxveen the Count3' and Sanborn.
Upon final acceptance of the tiled imageD-, Sanborn will provide MrSid compressed
imageD' covering the entire project area in a mutually agreed format and
compression to be determined by the County and Sanborn. Sanborn will deliver
metadata for all deliverable tiles in XxML format.

Services Agreement between The Sanborn Map Company, Inc and Cass County, North Dakota
