Minutes prepared by Cindy Stoick, Principal Secretary

5. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:45 PM.

Mr. Pawluk stated that bridges with load restrictions should have appropriate signage
some distance before the bridge as it is often difficult or impossible to turn vehicles
around once they reach the bridge. He is concerned that a bridge which crosses the
Maple River between Cass County 10 and 20 is being weakened by overweight
vehicles.

4. OTHER BUSINESS
Mr. Pawluk questioned turning over to municipalities' portions of county highways that
run through the municipality. Mr. Berndt stated Cass County has a policy in place that
states as areas are annexed on both sides of a county road, within two years the county
would endeavor to turn that portion of the highway over to the municipality. Mr. Pawluk
feels an effort should be made to follow this policy.

Road Advisory Minutes-July 21, 2008 2
Mr. Berndt attended the National Association of Counties Convention. The current
highway bill will expire with the federal highway fund being eight billion dollars in the red.
Congress may transfer eight billion dollars to keep the fund solvent in 2009.
