POLICY: <br /> <br />It is the policy of the Cass County Sheriff's Office whether personnel is on or off duty to <br />represent the Cass County Sheriffs Office in a positive image and protect the integrity of the <br />Cass County Sheriff s Office. Personnel should not engage in any conduct that could result <br />in unfavorable criticism or discredit the Cass County Sheriff s Office. <br /> <br />II. PVRPOSE: <br /> <br />The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for all Cass County Sheriff s Office <br />personnel whether on or off duty to protect the integrity, efficiency and productivity of the <br />Cass County Sheriff s Office. Engaging in any of the following examples of unacceptable <br />conduct whether on or off duty may result in disciplinary action which may include: written <br />reprimand, suspension without payor termination. <br /> <br />III. PROCEDVRAL GUIDELINES: <br /> <br />\.,. <br /> <br />These examples are intended only as a guide and are not all inclusive. <br /> <br />A. Insubordination. Disobedient to Authority <br /> <br />1. Supervisor <br /> <br />a. Failure to complete required or assigned training <br />b. For displaying reluctance to properly perform assigned duties, <br />neglect of duty, failing to assume responsibility or exercise <br />diligence and interest in pursuit of duties, or displaying lack of <br />energy of such character as to amount to incompetence. <br />c. Dishonesty <br />d. Falsifying records or information <br />e. Failure to support fellow law enforcement personnel or perform <br />law enforcement duties because of fear <br /> <br />2. Duty or Public Trust <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Failure of deputy to give his/her name to any citizen upon <br />request <br />Disclosure of confidential information <br />Using public/Cass County Sheriffs Office information for <br />personnel gain <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />\., <br />
