Jewelry: <br /> <br />The following minimum standards for grooming and maximum standards for <br />hair, sideburns, and mustaches are deemed reasonable and will be guideline to <br />be complied with by each member. <br /> <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br /> <br />Hair will be clean, neat in appearance and combed. <br />Hair will not interfere with the wearing of any uniform head gear. <br />Mustache may be worn if kept trim and clean. <br />Mustache will not twist in an upward position or be curled with wax <br />applied. <br />Sideburns will be trimmed and neat appearance. Not flared or bushy. <br />Beards and goatees may be worn if kept clean and trimmed. <br />No ribbons or ornaments will be worn in the hair except for neat, <br />inconspicuous bobby pins or conservative barrettes which blend in <br />with the hair. <br /> <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br /> <br />Any Jewelry that distracts from the professional appearance of a member or <br />which constitutes a safety hazard is not permitted. <br /> <br />J. Plain Clothes Deputies: <br /> <br />\..., <br /> <br />Plain clothes deputies assigned to details other than the prescribed uniform is <br />expected to dress in good taste. <br /> <br />When in plain clothes, deputies must wear their sidearm, badge and handcuffs <br />at a minimum. The badge must be on a holder and in a conspicuous location <br />on the belt or on a lanyard around the neck. <br /> <br />Deputies assigned to narcotics investigations may conceal all of their <br />equipment in the performance of their duties. <br /> <br />It is understood that in undercover assignments and/or operations, deputies <br />may deviate from the uniform general order in the performance of their duties. <br />
