POLICY: <br /> <br />This policy applies to all members of the Cass County Sheriffs Office. <br /> <br />II. DEFINITION(S): <br /> <br />III. PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES: <br /> <br />Due to different work assignments, appropriate attire may vary among employees. <br />For those employees who wear a uniform, there are specific policies covering <br />appearance. Appropriate personal appearance and good judgment should be used <br />with the following general guidelines. <br /> <br />. General appearance must be neat and clean. <br />. Clothing should be neat and fit properly. It must be free of tears, holes, frayed <br />edges, missing buttons and not be dirty or in the state of disrepair. <br /> <br />\.. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Wearing the Uniform: <br /> <br />Those who wear the uniform may wear either long or short sleeve shirt no <br />matter the time of year. <br /> <br />1. Long sleeve shirts must be worn with a tie, turtleneck or sweater. <br />2. Short sleeve shirts must be worn with a while t-shirt (crew cut) <br />underneath. <br /> <br />B. Uniforms at Funerals: <br /> <br />When attending a funeral you will wear your dress uniform if assigned one or <br />a long sleeve shirt with tie. <br /> <br />C. Approved attachments: <br /> <br />Only issued or approved insignia, pins, badges, shoulder patches or medals <br />will be worn on the uniform. <br /> <br />1. The Sheriff badge will be worn over the left chest area with the pin <br />inserted through the machine stitched holes on the shirt. <br /> <br />\., <br />
