The homeowner has requested a <br />recheck, and the property was inspected on May 7, 2008. A letter was sent notifying the owner of <br />a reduction in Value from $79,900 to $71,000. The homeowner is still not in agreement with the <br />value and has requested information regarding the appeal process. <br /> <br />The current value on the property is $71,000. Mr. Weiand has indicated that some of the other <br />units have been updated. These units are appraised higher than the value of $71 ,000 that is placed <br />on his condo. Please see the attached sheet for sales information that supports the current value. <br />Unit D at 501 Forest Avenue sold 1/9/2007 for $70,400 and at the time of the sale is known to <br />have had limited updates. Also a very similar condo unit in the building at 511 Forest Avenue <br />North is listed for sale. The listing price is for $ 77,900, the condo is 45 square feet smaller and <br />the listing information does not indicate updates. <br /> <br />ASSESSMENT DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Retain the current value of $71,000 for the 2008 assessment. <br />
