<br />Commission Minutes-June 16, 2008 3371 <br /> <br />11. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />227,217 through Voucher No. 227,577. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. JUNK ORDINANCE; COURTHOUSE 3RD FLOOR SPACE; FARGO CITY ISSUES; <br />CITIZEN CORRESPONDENCE, Committee reports <br />Mr. Vanyo asked about the status of a possible junk ordinance. Mr. Pawluk has spoken with <br />two citizens concerned about junk issues in their townships. Mr. Pawluk said townships <br />have zoning authority to deal with this issue and he suggested the individuals discuss their <br />concerns with the township. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said Regional Child Support Enforcement moved from the Courthouse to their <br />new location the end of May. Consultant Dennis Kimme will prepare a recommendation on <br />use of the space vacated on the Courthouse 3rd floor, which he plans to complete within the <br />next 30 days to submit to the Building Committee. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Montplaisir and Sheriff Laney met with Fargo officials and talked about <br />issues of mutual concern between the city and county. A preliminary discussion was held <br />regarding construction of a new fire station and police precinct in south Fargo and whether <br />the city is interested in working together on a co-location to address future law enforcement <br />space needs. <br /> <br />Mr. Pawluk discussed correspondence received from a citizen regarding access to public <br />transportation outside the City of Fargo. Mr. Montplaisir said the county does provide some <br />transportation in the rural area for senior citizens. Mr. Pawluk will send a response to the <br />individual regarding the concerns. <br /> <br />13. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- State Public Service Commission Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law and Order <br />regarding a site application for proposed Pillsbury-Fargo electric transmission line and <br />associated facilities to be constructed within Griggs, Barnes and Cass Counties by <br />Minnkota Power Cooperative Inc. <br /> <br />14.
