<br />Commission Minutes-June 2, 2008 3364 <br /> <br />will be available in 2009. After paying off the building fund, this will leave $2 million <br />remaining for projects. Mr. Berndt said since the bidding has been completed for 2008, he <br />recommends awarding the projects. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the chairman <br />to sign contract documents for the Cass County 17/Cass County 6 <br />improvements; Cass County 10 overlay from Mapleton to West Fargo; <br />Cass County 10 turn lane improvements at Cass County 23; and <br />authorize the use of funds from the building fund to cover costs above <br />the funds available in the 2008 highway fund. Discussion: Mr. Wagner <br />said the first priority in 2009 would be to replenish the building fund prior <br />to any road projects being approved for 2009. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />226,911 through Voucher No. 227,216. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. EARLY VOTING PRECINCT, Committee reports <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, said the early voting precinct opened today at the <br />Doublewood Inn and will be open all week from 11 :00 AM to 6:00 PM for Cass County <br />citizens wishing to vote. The Primary Election is next Tuesday, June 10, 2008. <br /> <br />12. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- letter from North Dakota Department of Transportation regarding applications for Special <br />Road Fund (SRF) projects (a copy was also sent to the county engineer); <br />- letter from County Engineer Keith Berndt to the North Dakota Department of <br />Transportation commenting on the bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction project at <br />State Highway 38 (Buffalo Interchange) crossroad. <br /> <br />13.
