Commission Minutes-May 19, 2008 3357 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 19, 2008 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Ken Pawluk. Robyn Sorum was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Ken Pawluk led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of a raffle permit for the Cass County Historical Society and a request to modify a position analysis questionnaire (PAQ) for a Highway Department position. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license issued by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009, as follows: Veteran's, Inc. at the Bronco Bar, Chaffee; Dokken & Schroeder Post 223 at Erie Legion Hall, Erie; Red River Human Services Foundation at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill, Wild Rice; The Arc, Upper Valley, Inc. at the Club 94, Casselton; and Christine Volunteer Firefighters, Inc. at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker, Hickson. b. Authorize the chairman to sign the township road mileage certification for 2008. c. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended April 30, 2008. d. Receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instruments for the City of Fargo and Larivee & Light; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. e. Amend the 2008 Extension Service budget for the Parenting Resource Center in the amount of $8,500 for the Parental Information and Resource Center contract addendum for the Countdown to Kindergarten program.
