<br />Building Committee-January 16, 2008 1 <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY BUILDING COMMITTEE <br />JANUARY 16, 2008-4:05 PM <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Committee Chairman Scott Wagner called the Cass County Building Committee <br />meeting to order on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 4:05 PM with the following <br />members present: County Administrator Bonnie Johnson; East Central Judicial <br />District Judge Doug Herman; County Commissioner Darrell Vanyo and County <br />Commissioner Scott Wagner. County Auditor Michael Montplaisir was absent. <br />State's Attorney Birch Burdick was also present. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Judge Herman moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the <br />minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. COURTHOUSE WEST ADDITION, Updated contract addendum with Foss <br />Architecture reviewed <br />Mr. Wagner said an updated contract addendum has been signed by Rick <br />Hoganson of Foss Architecture and the chairman of the County Commission, <br />Mr. Burdick said he and Mr. Hoganson agreed on a few clarifications to language <br />and information within the contract. <br /> <br />4. TIMEUNE TO INTERVIEW DEPARTMENTS, Subcommittee formed to meet <br />with departments and report back to committee <br />Mr. Wagner said since a contract is officially in place, interviews with <br />departments may now be scheduled to discuss space needs. He said Mrs, <br />Johnson and Mr. Montplaisir will be present when Foss Architecture and Kimme <br />& Associates hold the interviews and minutes will be taken by Mrs, Worden, Mrs, <br />Johnson will organize a conference call with Rick Hoganson and Dennis Kimme <br />to discuss dates, Mrs. Johnson said both Mr. Hoganson and Mr. Kimme have <br />received the space survey previously conducted by the county. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Judge Herman seconded to approve a <br />subcommittee consisting of Bonnie Johnson, Mike Montplaisir, Rick <br />Hoganson and Dennis Kimme conduct interviews with department <br />heads to determine space needs and report back to the Building <br />Committee. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. NEXT MEETING <br />Since department interviews most likely will be conducted within the next month, <br />committee members decided to cancel the February meeting. <br /> <br />The next meeting will be held Wednesday, March 1ih at 4:00 PM. <br /> <br />6. OTHER BUSINESS <br />Mr. Vanyo asked about the plans for the office space on the Courthouse third <br />floor after Regional Child Support Enforcement moves at the end of March, Mr. <br />Wagner said space needs of each department need to be taken into <br />
