<br />Commission Minutes-April 7, 2008 3340 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 7, 2008 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Ken Pawluk. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Sheriff Paul Laney led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Authorize chairman to sign proxy vote for the North Dakota Insurance <br />Reserve Fund annual meeting to be held May 14, 2008, at the Ramkota <br />Inn, Bismarck, North Dakota. <br />b. Approve omitted assessment according to notice sent to property owner <br />by the county auditor. <br />c. Receive and file Lost Instrument Bond for Birch Burdick and authorize <br />the county auditor and county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. <br />d. Amend charity local permit #420 for Relay for Life to conduct a poker <br />tournament to be held April 25 and April 26, 2008, at the Knickerbocker <br />Liquor Locker in Hickson, North Dakota. <br />e. Approve a permit for a calendar raffle for the Minnkota Artifacts <br />Recovery Group to be held October 1, 2008, through December 31, <br />2008, at the Chaffee Cafe in Chaffee, North Dakota. <br />f. Establish an early voting precinct at the Doublewood Inn located at <br />3333 13th Avenue South, Fargo, North Dakota, to be held June 2nd <br />through June 6th from 11 :00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. <br />g. Authorize chairman to sign a quit claim deed to convey abandoned <br />highway right-of-way in Section 2 of Everest Township to Maple River <br />Grain and Agronomy. <br />h. Approve a county beer license application for Bear Creek Winery. <br />I. Approve fee increases for on-site sewer system permits as <br />recommended by Fargo Cass Public Health. <br />j. Authorize chairman to approve purchase order for general equipment <br />and supplies for Road Department <br />
