<br />Commission Minutes-March 3, 2008 3331 <br /> <br />March 1, 2008. Spring load restrictions will be effective at 12:01 AM on or after <br />March 10, 2008, as determined by the County Engineer. <br /> <br />Dated this 3rd day of March, 2008. <br /> <br />b. Approve a raffle permit for the Minnkota Feline Club to be held April 6, <br />2008, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota. <br />c. Contract approval <br />Amenia tower lease agreement-tower rental space agreement <br />with Northwestern College for the Sheriff's Office mobile radio <br />system; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation-traffic safety grant in <br />the amount of $7,500 for alcohol enforcement. <br /> <br />6. REGIONAL CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT, Lease of office space extended <br />throuah Mav 31, 2008 <br />John Waller, Administrator for the Fargo Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit <br />(RCSEU), was present to discuss a request to extend the lease of office space on the third <br />floor of the courthouse. In November of 2007, the commission approved a lease with the <br />RCSEU through March 31, 2008. Mr. Waller said alternate space was thought to be <br />secured at the Wells Fargo building on Main Avenue in Fargo; however, the arrangement <br />fell through. A new site has been located at 4900 13th Avenue South in Fargo but will not be <br />available until the end of May. He is asking their lease be extended until May 31, 2008. <br /> <br />Mr. Pawluk asked when a lease will be signed with the new landlord. Mr. Waller hopes to <br />have a signed lease by the end of next week. Mr. Waller said the new office space has to <br />be prepared for occupancy, and he has contacted the State Information Technology <br />Department (ITD) regarding the necessary wiring to be completed. Mr. Pawluk questioned <br />whether the location will be ready by the end of May. Mr. Waller said he will do everything <br />in his power to ensure the move happens by May 31st. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to extend the lease of <br />courthouse space for the Fargo Regional Child Support Enforcement <br />Unit from March 31, 2008 to May 31,2008. Discussion: The terms of the <br />lease will remain the same at $6,752.40 per month. Mr. Vanyo requested <br />reports be sent annually to the commission regarding federal <br />performance measures. County Administrator Bonnie Johnson said <br />consultants will visit next week and will interview departments regarding <br />space needs. She said the consultants will provide a recommendation <br />within 60 to 90 days regarding the best use of the 5,000 square feet on <br />the third floor. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, Aareement approved with Harwood and Casselton to <br />access GIS WebFusion application <br />Kay Anderson, GIS Coordinator, was present to discuss a request from cities in Cass <br />County to access the county GIS WebFusion application. She said if the agreements are <br />approved, cities will be able to access the GIS system through the internet. Ms. Anderson <br />said initially Harwood and Casselton expressed an interest in contracting with the county; <br />however, Mapleton, Reiles Acres and Kindred have also expressed interest. <br />
