Fargo, ND 58108 Dear Chairman Pawluk, On behalf of the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation (GFMEDC) executive committee, I would like to pledge the committee's complete support of Resolution #2008-4, Regarding Sales Tax for Economic Development, as drafted by the Sales Tax Resolution subcommittee. We fully endorse the Sales Tax Revenue Governance Rules and the process for amending the Growth Plan. We feel that this resolution creates a sound structure and governance model that will allow the County to implement the Growth Plan while maintaining a transparent system of checks and balances that is necessary to safeguard public funds. Such a structure will endure changes in GFMEDC staff and Cass County Commission members. The half-cent sales tax will assist our community in implementing the Growth Plan that will promote a growing and vibrant economy with increasing high-wage oppOltunities for all the County's citizens. The executive committee accepts its responsibility as the originator of all proposals, and the accountability to the citizens of Cass County that accompanies this responsibility. Again, on behalf of the GFMEDC executive committee, I fully endorse Resolution #2008-4.
