Commission Minutes--February 17, 2004 2700 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FEBRUARY 17, 2004 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scoff Wagner. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Joyce Schepp led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order a;)~roved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda, with the addition of a Highway Department contract with <br /> Roadway Services, Inc. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, Grant forms signed for FY 2004 MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to <br /> sign the North Dakota Division of Emergency Management FY 2004 <br /> Emergency Management Performance Grant Award. On roll call vote, <br /> the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for hi_~hwav ec~ui;)ment MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to <br /> sign a purchase order for two Clement Pup Trailers from Swanston <br /> Equipment, Fargo, North Dakota, in the amount of $53,974.00. Mr. <br /> Bennett asked why the Iow bidder was not in compliance, and County <br /> Engineer Keith Berndt said four items did not meet specifications, one <br /> being the hitch assembly and another being a heavy-duty frame. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VECTOR CONTROL, Purchase order for equipment MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to <br /> sign a purchase order for three Phoenix Foggers for the Vector Control <br /> Department. Mr. Bennett asked Mr. Berndt if he would normally expect <br /> more than one bidder on these sprayers. Mr. Berndt said he believes <br /> them were multiple bids, however, he did not have the bid documents <br /> with him today. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
