The letter requests comments from the County in <br />regards to proposed developments in the proposed area. As the County <br />Commission will recall we have worked with the City of Harwood on <br />finding funding opportunities to build bicycle and pedestrian <br />improvements on the Harwood Interstate 29 Interchange. Furthermore, <br />the Fargo Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments has completed <br />a study on the improvements which will be made available in support of <br />the project. <br /> <br />We are requesting the Commission's support by authorizing the Chairman <br />to sign a letter to the North Dakota Department of Transportation <br />representative (Houston Engineering, Inc.) requesting that they consider <br />building the proposed Harwood bicycle and pedestrian improvement plan <br />as part of Project No.IM-8-029(097)069, PCN 16361 and IM-8- <br />029(097)069, PCN 16767 and showing our support of such plan. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: Authorize Chairman to sign a letter of <br />comment to North Dakota Department of Transportatioll representative <br />Houston Engineering, Inc. requesting they include a Harwood bicycle and <br />pedestrian improvement plan to Project No. IM-8-029(089)069, peN <br />16361 and IM-8-029(097)069, PCN 16767. <br /> <br />J;\^dmin~Eng\Commjssion Consp\2008 Comtnlssion Corrcspondcm:c\Conscnt Memo_comment teUcrjun22.doc <br />
