<br />ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Project No.: <br /> <br />CH0805 <br /> <br />Location: <br /> <br />Cass County Highway 10, North End of Cass Highway 23 <br /> <br />Length: <br /> <br />0.5 Mile (approximate) <br /> <br />Type of Construction: Highway Construction Upgrades <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by and between Cass County, hereinafter known as the county. and of <br /> <br />HOUSTON ENGINEERING, hereinafter known as engineer. <br /> <br />L <br /> <br />The engineer agrees to perfonn the following engineering work on this project: <br /> <br />A. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />See Houston Engineering Letter dated December 14, 2007. <br /> <br />B. FIELD SURVEYS <br /> <br />Location and Alignment; Elevations and Cross Sections; Hydraulic Surveys; Topography; Location of Utilities; and <br />Similar Data. <br /> <br />C. DESIGN AND PLANS <br /> <br />Project design shall be according to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials <br />(AASHTO), A policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, The Manual on Unifonn Traffic Control <br />Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD), and the North Dakota Standard Specifications for road and Bridge <br />Construction. Bridge or large culvert design shall be according to AASHTO Standard Specifications for Bridges. <br /> <br />Final detailed plans shall be ofa dimension and detail that can be reproduced on conventional reproduction <br />equipment. <br /> <br />D. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />Develop special notes or special provisions outlining any special requirements regarding constnlction of or <br />concerning the project, which are not covered in the plans. or in the standard specifications. <br /> <br />E. ESTIMATE <br /> <br />Furnish a cost estimate for each work item and a total estimated project cost. <br />
