Commission Minutes--January 20, 2004 2691 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 20, 2004 (TUESDAY) 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett, Scott Wagner and Robyn Sorum. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: 1) board of prisoner contract with the City of Fargo; 2) grant amendment with the North Dakota Department of Transportation; and 3) appointment of new Emergency Services Coordinator. Motion carried unanimously. 5. BEER LICENSE RENEWAL, Approved for Leonard Sandhills Golf Course. LLC MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to renew county beer license for the Leonard Sandhills Golf Course, LLC for 2004, subject to approval by the state's attorney, the sheriff, and the Leonard Township board of supervisors. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for new eauipment MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to sign a purchase order for a new tractor loader backhoe from RDO Equipment in the amount of $64,696.46, with a $20,500.00 trade-in allowance for a total cost of $44,469.46. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. INFORMATION SERVICES, Purchase order for software uparade MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chair to sign a purchase order with Tracer Knowledge Systems in the amount of $21,171.00 for LaserFiche Software upgrades. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
