<br />November 1, 2007 <br /> <br />RECEIVED <br /> <br /> <br />NOV 2. 20071 <br /> <br />Mr. Scott Wagner, Chairman <br />Cass County Commissioners <br />211 Ninth Street South <br />Fargo, NO 58103 <br /> <br />CI',SS COUNTY COMMISSLON <br /> <br />Re: Cass County Courthouse West Addition <br />Fargo, North Dakota <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Wagner: <br /> <br />There are a couple of changes on the contract amendment request that are a result of <br />discussions during the last meeting with the building committee for the "West Addition". <br />In response to our recommendation to the County to consider a security consultant due <br />to the time that has passed since the original jail security system was installed, and Cass <br />County's desire to better understand the potential future space needs related to the <br />Courts, we have solicited a proposal from Kimme and Associates as requested for the <br />additional scope of professional services to be included in the contract amendment. As <br />a result, the hourly fee not to exceed $7,000 previously requested by Foss Architecture <br />for review of Cass County's revised program shall be dismissed. This review effort is <br />now proposed to be lead by Kimme and Associates with Foss as an active participant <br />without additional compensation on our part. Kimme and Associates will also be <br />responsible for the design; specifications, shop drawings and observation of the final <br />construction install of the security system and detention items at the West Addition which <br />will be covered under the fee identified as a percent of construction.
