The Fargo Police Department will use the Orion GPS tracking system in surveillance of known or suspected methamphetamine dealers. This unit can be placed on vehicles and information can be downloaded remotely by our Narcotics Unit without compromising our officers. Total cost of the Orion GPS tracking system: $12,000.00 4 - Sky Trx Mini GPS Data Logger. The Fargo Police Department will use the Sky Trx Mini GPS data loggers in surveillance of known or suspected methamphetamine dealers. These units are similar to the Orion GPS tracking system except they cannot be downloaded remotely. They are significantly lower in cost than Orion system which will allow us to purchase more units. This will allow for multiple surveillance operations simultaneously. Total cost of the Sky Trx. Mini GPS Data Loggers: 4 x $400.00 $1,600.00 Tactical Technologies Bug Repeater System. The Fargo Police Department Narcotics Unit will use the Tactical Technologies Bug Repeater System to increase the range of our current covert audio surveillance system. Improved covert audio surveillance will significantly increase the safety of our covert operatives when dealing with dangerous methamphetamine suspects. 2
