<br />Commission Minutes-October 15, 2007 3278 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OCTOBER 15, 2007 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Allow solicitation of clothing items from Cass County employees to be <br />given to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy adults. <br />b. Appoint Jim Thoreson to represent the Cass County Commission, <br />Wayne Venter to represent the Red River Valley Fair Association, and <br />Tim Clark to represent the Cass County Extension Services as <br />delegates to attend the 2007 North Dakota State Fair Association <br />annual meeting scheduled for 1 :00 PM on November 14, 2007, at the <br />North Dakota State Fair Center in Minot. <br />c. Amend Commission Policy Manual Sections 1.00,1.10,3.00,3.10 and <br />13.30. <br />d. Approve omitted assessments according to notices sent to property <br />owners by the county auditor. <br />e. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the <br />month ended September 30,2007. <br />f. Authorize the chairman to sign a quit claim deed to Ralph L. and <br />Margaret A. Habiger as a result of a satisfaction on a contract for deed <br />for county-owned property in the City of Casselton. <br />g. Authorize the chairman to sign a quit claim deed selling abandoned <br />right-of-way along Highway 81 in Section 22 of Reed Township to the <br />Currier Company in the amount of $800. <br />h. Approve a raffle permit for Chaffee Lions Club to be held November 29, <br />2007, at the Embden Farmer's Union Station in Embden, North Dakota. <br />
