The land <br />was part of the old Highway 81 right of way in section 22 of Reed Township <br />immediately south of Cass 20. When Old Highway 81 was moved east to allow for <br />the 129 overpass, a small strip of land between the Railroad and the adjacent land <br />was left in the County's name. The land has little or no value to anyone other than <br />the adjacent landowner. Therefore, I recommend that the purchase offer of $800 <br />be accepted. I've enclosed the correspondence from Mr. Currier and several other <br />related documents for your information.
