<br />Commission Minutes-September 17, 2007 3273 <br /> <br />12. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />220,474 through Voucher No. 220,799. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. COUNTY PLANNER; STATE'S ATTORNEY GRANT; JAIL ADDITION RIBBON <br />CUTTING; COUNTY HEALTH & WELLNESS FAIR; BUILDING COMMITTEE, Committee <br />reports <br />Mr. Berndt introduced County Planner Tim Solberg to the board. Commissioners welcomed <br />Mr. Solberg to Cass County Government. <br /> <br />Mr. Burdick recently learned his office will receive grant money for methamphetamine <br />investigations and public education. The grant will require a prosecutor dedicated toward <br />this program and will cover the salary for two years. He will provide further information to <br />the board after he receives official notification. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a ribbon cutting ceremony for the jail additions will be held Monday, <br />October 15th at 11 :00 AM. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson reminded commissioners about the Health and Wellness Fair for county <br />employees to be held Thursday, September 20,2007, in the basement of the annex. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner said the building committee met last week and decided to meet monthly to <br />continue studying space needs for the county. <br /> <br />14. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded. to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- Letter from the National Association of Counties regarding rural development title <br />legislation; <br />- Letter from the North Dakota Department of Health regarding a county waste transporter <br />permit that was inactivated because of failure to pay the annual fee of $25. <br /> <br />15.
