<br />2 <br /> <br />and Mr. Foss feel the need to address their concerns further, a special meeting could be <br />scheduled with the engineers present for discussion. <br /> <br />Rush River – flattening side slopes <br />Ms. Ducioame reported Moore Engineering, Inc. is working on plans to flatten side slopes <br />on the Rush River starting at the Diversion Channel of the Metro Flood Diversion Project <br />and moving approximately two miles upstream. Ms. Ducioame reviewed cost estimates <br />with the Board and indicated the Board could potentially complete two miles of channel <br />side slope flattening in 2025 and one mile in 2027. Discussion was held on the proposed <br />future side slope flattening projects and crossings that are scheduled for replacement. <br /> <br />After discussion, the Board directed Moore Engineering to bring a recommendation and <br />cost estimate for a potential 2025 project to flatten two miles of side slopes on the Rush <br />River, including an analysis to include a potential crossing replacement, to a future <br />meeting for the Board’s consideration. <br /> <br />Swan Creek Diversion – City of Casselton shared use path at Governor’s Drive <br />Sean Fredricks presented an Access Agreement with the City of Casselton for a shared <br />use path over the Swan Creek Diversion at Governor’s Drive. <br /> <br />It was moved by Manager Gust and seconded by Manager Sundberg to approve and <br />authorize the Chairman to sign the Access Agreement with the City of Casselton <br />regarding a shared use path over the Swan Creek Diversion at Governor’s Drive. Upon <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Weed, cattail, tree and brush control <br />It was moved by Manager Sundberg and seconded by Manager Gust to approve and <br />authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement with Dakota Helicopter, Inc. to provide <br />aerial and ground spraying services for weed, cattail, tree and brush control on Rush <br />River Water Resource District facilities for 2024. Upon roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />North Dakota Department of Water Resources (NDDWR) 2025-2027 Water <br />Development Plan <br />Discussion was held on the draft list of projects to submit to the NDDWR for the 2025- <br />2027 Water Development Plan. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Manager Gust motioned and Manager Sundberg seconded to <br />authorize Moore Engineering, Inc. to submit the list of projects for the NDDWR 2025-2027 <br />Water Development Plan, as discussed. Upon roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Cass County Joint Water Resource District report <br />Manager Gust reported discussions continue regarding the Metro Flood Diversion Project <br />and indicated acquisition of flowage easements for the project continues. <br />
