Memorandum of Understanding Point of Dispensing (POD) Security This MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, made and entered into effective the ~ day of a March 2007, by and between FARGO CASS PUBLIC HEALTH, a local health unit and public health department of the CITY OF FARGO, a municipal corporation ("City"), and certain law enforcement agencies, specifically, FARGO POLICE DEPARTMENT, WEST FARGO POLICE DEPARTMENT, CASS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, MOORHEAD POLICE DEPARTMENT, CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, hereinafter referred to as "Law Enforcement Agencies." WITNESSETH: . WHEREAS, Fargo Cass Public Health has received a grant under the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response/City Readiness Initiative Program to assist with distribution of medications to the population of the Metropolitan Statistical Area ("MSA"), i.e., the counties ofCass, North Dakota and Clay, Minnesota, within forty-eight (48) hours of the decision to do so; and WHEREAS, various sites in the counties of Cass, North Dakota, and Clay, MiImesota have been identified and designated as a Point of Dispensing (POD) site for distribution of medications to the population of the MSA by Fargo Cass Public Health; and WHEREAS, the Law Enforcement Agencies agree to assist Fargo Cass Public Health in developing security plans for POD sites and also agree to provide security at POD sites, depending upon availability of staff and resources as determined by the head of each respective Law Enforcement Department: WHEREAS, the parties wish to memorialize their agreement in writing: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED
