Planning Commission Minutes – August 18, 2022 1 <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />September 22, 2022 <br /> <br />A. CALL TO ORDER <br />A meeting of the Cass County Planning Commission was called to order on September 22, 2022 at 7:00 <br />am in the Vector Conference room at the Highway Department. <br /> <br />B. ROLL CALL <br />Planning Commissioners attending in person were Rocky Bertsch, Ken Lougheed, Dr. Tim Mahoney, Brad <br />Olson, Commissioner Mary Scherling, Kris Schipper and Keith Gohdes. David Gust attended via Teams. <br />Keith Monson was absent. <br /> <br />Also attending in person were Grace Puppe, Cass County Planner, Jason Benson, Cass County Engineer, <br />Tom Soucy, Assistant County Engineering. <br /> <br />Members of the public attending were Andrew Jahnke, Wesley Belter from Maple River Township. Bill <br />Nelson, Bob and Vickie Matthews, Todd Ellig, Matthew Mohr from Stanley Township. Zoe Wieber and <br />Jack Dwyer from Dwyer Law Office. <br /> <br />C. DETERMINATION OF A QUORUM <br />It was determined that there was a quorum based on the roll call. <br /> <br />D. MINUTES, APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Olson moved and Mr. Bertsch seconded to approve the minutes of the August 18, <br />2022 meeting as presented. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. PUBLIC HEARING <br />1. Hearing on an application requesting a Minor Subdivision Plat of Kellerman David Subdivision <br />located in Section 25, Township 137 North, Range 54 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, <br />Highland Township, Cass County North Dakota. <br />Mr. Lougheed opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />The applicant is seeking approval of a minor subdivision entitled Kellerman David Subdivision to <br />plat a one (1) Lot subdivision of approximately 1 acre. According to the applicant, the subdivision <br />is requested to separate the house from surrounding property to sell. <br /> <br />The proposed ownership and maintenance responsibility of the subdivision will be private. The <br />subdivision will use an existing 53rd St SE road access, ditches for storm sewer conveyance, rural <br />water, and on-site septic systems for wastewater treatment. <br />Agency Comments <br /> Upon hearing no public comments, the public hearing was closed. <br />MOTION, passed <br /> Ms. Schipper moved, and Dr. Mahoney seconded to accept the findings and recommend <br />approval to the County Commission with any conditions outlined by the County <br />Planner. <br /> On a roll call vote with all in favor, motion carried.
