Cass County
Electric Cooperative has a long history of participating in and supporting the activities of
the GFMEDC. Its efforts to date have helped communities throughout our electric service
area grow and prosper, making our huge investment in electric infrastructure more
efficient and economical- not to mention the economic revitalization of the communities
themselves.

We have been deeply involved in the strategic planning efforts that lead to the sales tax
proposal before you. We firmly believe it is not only necessary but vital to propel our
region into the future with the target industries identified in the strategic plan. A
successful vote on the issue and the resulting investments in our region's education and
research infrastructure will be positive for the entire region, both urban and rural.

Your thoughtful consideration and approval of the proposal will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

~c::~:1s

President/CEO

P.O.
