<br />Commission Minutes-July 16, 2007 3224 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JULY 16, 2007 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with members present as <br />follows: Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. Robyn Sorum was present via <br />conference call. Scott Wagner was absent as he was attending the National Association of <br />Counties Convention in Richmond, Virginia and having been elected to a national board of <br />directors, was being sworn in at the time of the commission meeting. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Vern Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of an interpreter service agreement submitted <br />by the states attorney. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Authorize the Cass County Sheriff's Department to close Cass County <br />Road 28 from 9:30 PM to 1 :00 AM each night during the Pyrotechnics <br />Guild International convention to be held August 5-10, 2007, at the Red <br />River Valley Fairgrounds. <br />b. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the <br />month ending June 30, 2007. <br />c. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order to Nelson Ford of <br />Fergus Falls in the amount of $31,373 for a Road Department sign <br />truck. <br />d. Contract approval: <br />Tele-Interpreters LLC, a California Limited Liability Company- <br />for over-the-phone interpreting services as needed. <br /> <br />5. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Jail kitchen eauipment purchases <br />Major Glenn Ellingsberg was present to obtain permission for the purchase of some <br />additional jail kitchen equipment. This is a request from CBM Food Services as they are <br />required to provide meals that are ready at specific times and within a certain temperature <br />range. The equipment includes a double rack convection oven; a griddle; a 40 quart mixer <br />and 350 insulated food trays with covers. The purchase would replace and upgrade <br />
