  <br />  <br />  <br />April 13, 2022 <br /> <br />Brandy Madrigga <br />Cass County Auditor <br />211 9th Street S <br />Fargo, ND 58103 <br /> <br />PROJECT: TAC-0009(054), PCN 22943 – CASS CO; CMC 0949, JCT 81ST AVE S N TO JCT <br />CMC 0944 (HORACE) <br /> <br />Bids for the construction on the above noted project were taken at our bid opening on April 8, 2022. <br />Copies of the Contract Detail Estimate and abstract of bids are enclosed. <br /> <br />The low bid for SHARED USE PATH, ADA RAMPS, CURB & GUTTER, CULVERT <br />EXTENSION, GRADING & INCIDENTALS was submitted by Northern Improvement Company <br />of Fargo, ND in the amount of $220,300.10(with Option 1). According to the agreement with <br />Cass County, the County's share of the project is estimated to be $42,011.23. Federal Funds <br />obligated for this project shall not exceed 80.93 percent of the total eligible project cost up to a <br />maximum of $186,260.00. The balance of the project cost is the obligation of the County. <br />Please see contract detail estimate for funding limits and breakdowns. <br /> <br />If the County chooses to use the higher bid with Option 2 ($326,913.10), the County will be <br />responsible for 100% of the difference in the price of the two options, which is $106,613.00. <br />See attached bid sheet. <br /> <br />The Department will review the low bidder’s proposal to assure that the Disadvantaged <br />Business Enterprise Program requirements have been met. Upon review of the contractor’s <br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, the Department will advise you via email <br />whether this project may be awarded. The County must award the contract before the <br />Department will concur in the award, therefore, the County must notify the Department in <br />writing as soon as possible after the award is made.
