The Water Resource District has asked for input with regard to <br />making improvements to route drainage from those areas to the proposed new <br />mlet, but none has been received, <br /> <br />At this time, the Water Resource District is willing to pay for the cost to construct <br />this new inlet, which is estimated to cost $125,000, The project would consist of <br />constructing a new ditch on the north side of 76th Avenue South to channel <br />water from the two existing pipe under 76th Avenue South to the new inlet pipe <br />into the Red River. Any additional construction costs for alternative east-west <br />drainage improvements or to construct drainage improvements from the Mapie <br />Prairie or Granberg areas to the new Red River inlet would be the responsibility <br />of those subdivisions, <br /> <br />The Water Resource District would appreciate hearing of your interests or <br />concerns with regard to this project in the near future If no input is receIVed by <br />December 1, 2006, the project will be dropped by the Water Resource District <br />and any future erosion or drainage improvements necessary in this area will not <br />be cost shared by the Water Resource District. <br /> <br />If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
