<br />SAMPLE NEWSPAPER NOTICE <br /> <br />Cass County Property Tax Notice <br /> <br />This is an important notice for property owners in Cass County who owe delinquent real estate <br />taxes. The 60th North Dakota State Legislature has passed legislation that reduces the amount of <br />time for payment of local property taxes. Currently property owners are allowed 57 months from <br />the time the tax is levied to make the final payment on taxes. This time period is being reduced <br />to 33 months effective with the 2007 property taxes. To assist you in making the transition to the <br />shorter time period, the Cass County Commission has authorized the County Auditor and County <br />Treasurer to abate the Penalty and Interest on tax payments if a property owner pays all the taxes <br />due on a parcel.
