<br />Board of County Commissioners <br />May 10, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />You will notice the resolution before you only allows the <br />forgiveness of the I&P if the taxpayer pays all the <br />delinquent taxes on a parcel. That is intentional; the <br />problem for the taxpayer occurs with the 2005 and 2007 <br />taxes both due in 2010, and the following year with the <br />2006 and 2008 taxes due in 2011. So, the taxes we are <br />really concerned about collecting are the 2005 and 2006 <br />taxes to eliminate the hardship of paying two years of <br />taxes in one year with all the associated I&P. <br /> <br />Besides the resolution, we have prepared sample letters <br />to go out to taxpayers and sample notices to be printed <br />in the newspaper.
