The County agrees, th~ough the Sheriff ot the County of Cass, to provide police services within the rorporate limits of City as defined and mutuall~ dgreed upon between the Sheriff and City. The services will normally be pnJ\Tided by officers specifically assigneei L) the City by the Sheriff with the advice and consent of the City Council. While so assigned, it is understood that the officers will, other than for emergency situations, be performinq police services feH the City rather than for the County.
