<br />Commission Minutes-October 16, 2006 3137 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OCTOBER 16, 2006 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum and Vern Bennett. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Robyn Sorum led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda as amended: add a contract with Choice Point Government <br />Services. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the <br />month ended September 30,2006. <br />b. Appoint John Meyer to represent the Cass County Commission, John <br />Pitz to represent the Red River Valley Fair Association, and Tim Clark <br />to represent the Cass County Extension Service to attend the 2006 <br />North Dakota State Fair Association annual meeting scheduled at 1 :00 <br />PM on November 16, 2006, at the Bismarck Ramkota Inn. <br />c. Approve the annual leave carryover of 240 hours beyond January 15, <br />2007, for Adair Boening, Assistant State's Attorney from the Regional <br />Child Support Enforcement Unit. <br />d. Allow the solicitation of clothing items from Cass County employees to <br />be given to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy adults. <br />e. Contract approval: <br />Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota-200? employee health <br />insurance coverage; <br />Choice Point Government Services-on-line web hosting services. <br /> <br />6. RESOLUTION #2006-14, MIDA Bond application of Sisters of the Presentation BVM <br />Project <br />Attorney James Stewart was present for the MIDA Bond hearing on the application of the <br />Sisters of the Presentation BVM Project in the amount of $450,000 for the purpose of <br />renovating and equipping of a six-unit multifamily housing facility located at 1120 30th <br />Avenue South in Fargo. <br />
