Commission Minutes-October 2, 2006 3133 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 2, 2006 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum and Vern Bennett. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Jim Brent, Veterans Service Officer, led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Approve a special event permit for Stars & Strikes to serve alcoholic beverages at a wedding reception to be held at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. on October 7, 2006, from 6:00 PM to 11 :00 PM. b. Approve raffle permits for 4-Corners Wildlife Club to be held November 27, 2006, at the Senior Citizen Center in Embden, North Dakota; and for Chaffee Lions Club to be held November 27,2006, at the Embden Farmer's Union Station in Embden, North Dakota. c. Approve omitted assessments according to notices sent to property owners by the county auditor. d. Amend the 2006 Extension Services budget for the Parenting Resource Center in the amount of $5,970 for the North Dakota Department of Human Services contract and $27,192 for the United Way of Cass Clay project. e. Contract approval: Fargo Municipal Airport Authority-cost share agreement for Cass County Drain #10 improvement project to be funded by the Southeast Cass Water Resource District, Cass County, Fargo Municipal Airport Authority and City of Fargo; Fargo Cass Public Health-contract amendment for services at the Cass County Juvenile Detention Center.
